Well, all that to say that I just discovered how to watch TV channels with this app!
Just run VLC, then click on the "View" menu and "Playlist" and go to "Manage" and "Discovery of services" and finally click on "Shoutcast TV Listing"

A list of online TV will be downloaded. It only remains for you to make your choice.
